Hi, I am a multi-talented Bellingham musician. I play primarily folk and jazz – mainly on piano or concertina. As a child and into early teens I took classical lessons and then jazz and blues. After high school I was part of the jazz ensemble at Hampshire College and then entered the Jazz Studies program at Capilano University. Throughout my whole life I have also been a part of the contra dance community (see here for a cinematic view of contra – or see here for a more typical, but excellently groovy listen) which always has live fiddle music and did much to foster my love for folk music. It has been a dream come true to play in bands for contra dances and eventually even along side bands I grew up idolizing. I enjoy jazz and classical, but folk music is where my heart lies. Music is a way forward through good times and bad. Let us make our time better spent with live music greasing the cogs of life – in joy or sadness.
